What Can Fabulous Glamour Mary Kay consultant do for you?

As a Skincare Specialist my top priority is to customize your unique skin type. Many of you have already sat down with me to figure out your skin type (Normal, Combination, Oily or Dry) This is the first step in the skincare process. The second step is to find out what skin concerns you may have. For example dark circles under the eyes, lines on the forehead or laugh lines.

Fabulous Glamour can also let you TRY before you buy! Isn't that GREAT! No more picking or guessing the shade you THINK goes with your skin tone. As your make up specialist I am ready to help you create a look that best suits your needs. I'm ready to offer products and services tailored for your life, with the considerations of what matters most to you.

Working as many hours that you do sometimes makes it hard to get those products that you want or even ask questions on products that you think you need. My goal is to Customize your unique skin type and skin concerns, so why not bring the make up counter to you!

Summer Time Burn

This is that time of year when there is a lot of "Fun in the sun"! I just had my fill last week when I went to Key West and Boy did I have fun! However, I did notice one frightning thing. Ladies where burning in the Sun, I couldn't help but to notice because I am a skincare Consultant. There is nothing wrong with a little sun but you need to make sure you use a product with SPF in it preferably 30 and up. YOu also need to check how many times you need to reapply while in the water.

Skin cancer is the No. 1 most common cancer, but it is preventable. Daily use of suncreens can reduce your chances of developing some forms of skin cancer. Select a sunscreen that block damaging rays, a SPF of 15 or higher is recommended. A good sunscreen product should be "broad spectrum", containing ingredients that protect against UVA & UVB rays. UVB are typically associated with sunburn, UVA rays penetrate more deeply into the skin and cause sunlight-induced premature aging - even on cloudy and winter days!

Use and application:
Apply sunscreen generously to all exposed areas of skin and pay attention to the face, ears, hands and arms. You should also apply a lip balm that contains sunscreen too. Sunscreen should be reapplied regularly, at least every 2 hours or after swimming, perspiring heavily or towel drying.

Give your skin the protection it deserves, keeping it beautiful and healthy!
Summer Must-Haves:

Mary Kay TimeWise Day Solution Sunscreen SPF 30, shields face from UVA/UVB rays, relaxes expression lines and softens the appreance of lines and wrinkles.

Mary Kay TimeWise Hand and Decollete cream sunscreen SPF 15, Perfect for skin's delicate areas: Hands & Decollete that receive the most exposure to the sun year round.

Mary Kay SPF 30 Sunscreen, Provides UVA/UVB protection to help protect against sunburn, skin damage, freckling and uneven coloration.

Rise Higher

In order to embrace the destiny God has in store, you have to be willing to make some difficult changes in your life. You have to be willing to examine where you are and what you need to do in order to move forward. This may mean that you need to change some friends you’re spending time with. Maybe they were fine for a season in your life, but you’ve outgrown them. This is a new season, and in order for you to rise higher, you have to break away from relationships that are limiting you. You have to develop some new friendships with people who are going to pull you up and inspire you to rise higher.
I’ve found that if you’re the smartest one in your group, your group is too small. Find people who are smarter than you, people who will challenge you to stretch to the next level. Remember, he who walks with the wise becomes wise. Choose your friends wisely so that you can rise higher and walk in the destiny God has for you.

Summer time is here time for "Vacation Survival"

Top 10 Vacation Survival Tips,
  • If you are traveling with bags, tie the same color ribbon or tag on each one so they're easy to identify at the carousel and place your name and contact information inside as well as outside the suitcase.
  • Pack essentials and a few clothing items in your carry-on (including a bathing suit), especially if you have connecting flights, in case your luggage doesn't arrive with you at your destination.
  • Flights and waits at airports can be long, especially for young children. Make sure they're occupied with books, travel games (quiet ones) and coloring books for the trip.
  • Get wise to what many travel pros already know: all-inclusive vacations are more than a great way to stay within your vacation budget, they offer a lot for the money.
  • A happy family can make anyplace you're at seem like heaven. Organize different activities that appeal to different family members and one activity a day you know the whole family will enjoy participating in.
  • Treat yourself to a vacation at a family-friendly resort where trained and certified nannies are available. This allows you to indulge yourself a bit while your kids are well cared for and having a blast with other kids.
  • Take the stress out of planning and consider the "all-inclusive" vacation resorts. The best ones have tons of activities and recreation for kids and adults, a variety of restaurants to keep even finicky eaters happy, included drinks, and the ultra-cool convenience of never having to carry cash or credit cards.
  • Cross-checking with your other half and the kids is always a good way to avoid leaving things behind in your room when you are preparing to return home.
  • Packing dirty and fresh clothes separately -- whether it's in a plastic bag, separate suitcase compartments or in separate suitcases-- saves time once you are at home.
  • Once you settle back home, scrapbooking can be a great way to organize and display your vacation photos for generations to come.
Going on vacation is my favorite time of the year, it's always fun and too short.

Acne: Don't just connect the dots, get RID of them!

Everyone knows how important cleaning your face daily is in regards to acne treatment. The same goes for all the other topical creams for acne available in the market, which kills germs and opens up blocked pores. These may provide temporary relief, but you will never experience acne free skin by only focusing on acne and their breakouts from the outside.

Acne is a skin condition that causes whiteheads, blackheads, and inflamed red growths (papules, pustules, and cysts) to form. These growths are commonly called pimples or "zits."

Acne occurs when tiny holes on the surface of the skin, called pores, become clogged.
  • Each pore is an opening to a follicle, which contains a hair and an oil gland. These oil glands help lubricate the skin and help remove old skin cells.
  • When glands produce too much oil, the pores can become blocked. Dirt, debris, bacteria, and inflammatory cells build up. The blockage is called a plug or comedone.
  • The top of the plug may be white (whitehead) or dark (blackhead).
  • If the plug breaks open, the material inside causes swelling and red bumps to form.
  • If the inflammation is deep in your skin, the pimples may enlarge to form firm, painful cysts.
Treating your adult acne can be easy with a consistency and discipline. The 1st step in treating your acne is to start eating right, drinking enough water and getting enough sleep. Add an exercise routine if you can and stay clear of anything that will create toxins in the body. The 2nd step is to find a skincare routine that you can stick to that you will follow religiously! I recommend the Mary Kay Acne fighter set for starters. This includes:

  • Velocity Lightweight Moisturizer, smoothes and softens skin has an oil-absorbing ingredient that helps control excess oil. apply to clean face & neck. use Am & Pm

Glamour is not only on the outside it starts with..........

Glamour starts with self-belief, the gift of believing in yourself. Without self-belief you hesitate - or never move at all. When we don't believe in ourselves, we cannot believe in our future, so we have no vision. And without a vision, we have no dream. Without a dream we have no plan. Without a plan there is no accomplishment. and without accomplishment, there is no reward. So, without self-belief there is no Fulfillment.

So try this the next time those doubts start creeping in as they do.

"I believe in myself, I believe I can do this! I'm on top, in tune, in touch, and going for it! TODAY is MY day, and nothing can stop me now! I believe in myself and I'm doing GREAT! Now is my time. I'm glad to be alive. I'm glad to be here! And I'm just getting started!"

If you believe your Fabulous on the inside your Glamour will show on the outside!

TaTa for now.
